FIRST OF ALL

I'll retrace very briefly at this stage the career of he was one of the greatest European Rockers in the 60's.Phil Guidal having done a great job in his N° 0 "The Observatory" in June 93. A mass of details, reviews, and interviews of those who were more or less in contact with Vince, make for a fan like me a unique and precious magazine which I keep with the greatest of care, like all collectioners in my library.

It was a period in my life where I was very happy. This is what motivated me to do this translation. A period where I was a bit hard headed and not very sensible, in my parents eyes of course who would have prefered me to be an upholsterer or window dresser. I still decided to be a musician despite my parents.

Just as well as profane, I decided to get down to a very precise period of his career, meaning his debuts in 58 up until 62. I hope this will be suffice to arouse all information on behalf of all those who loved and appreciated him.

My name his Jacques MERCIER, better known in the french music business by the pseudo Captain Mercier, a R'n'B group in which I've been singing for about ten years.

I'm a musician born in 1946, and was lucky enough to know this cherished period of time when rock and roll was born.

At this stage I'll only regroup all information and details, with great care, which I found in a bibliography. Adding of course my own personal experience. Jean-Louis RANCUREL and Jacques BARSAMIAN asked me and my band "The Rockers " 1966, to play with Vince on a one month tour across France, and of course we accepted. (annec.htm)
